A George I Burr Walnut Bachelors Chest
England, circa 1710

An exceptional George I burr walnut bachelors chest of magnificent colour and patination. The top quarter-veneered in the finest burr walnut, opening to a green velvet lining and revealing a lockable panel opening to a secure interior well-space. The serpentine front with a dummy drawer to the top concealing the well above three long drawers all with original gilt brass hardware and original locks, standing on four original beautifully shaped bracket feet.

This magnificent chest is in outstanding original condition. A vey rare and remarkable survival.
