

A GEORGE III MAHOGANY BUREAU CABINET
English, circa 1780
A very fine George III mahogany bureau cabinet of grand proportions, the triangular open pediment with pierced cartouche and spandrel arcading, above a pair of original glass-glazed geometric astragal doors enclosing three adjustable shelves and four drawers, the bureau section with fall-front enclosing a fitted interior with a central cupboard with inlaid door flanked by two drawers, four pigeon-holes and two secret drawers to either side, above three short and three long graduated drawers with original brass handles and locks, on bracket feet, the whole of superb colour and patina throughout.
