A MODEL FIELD GUN

English, circa 1910

A fine early 20th century model of a field gun of large scale, with a brass barrel and a brass mounted oak carriage. This model cannon is closely related to the Armstrong 12 pounder rifled breech-loading gun which was used by the British Army throughout the Empire from 1859 until the Boer War in 1899.
