A LARGE JAPANNED FLOOR VASE

Italian, circa 1830

A magnificent terracotta floor vase of large proportions, decorated throughout in the Japanese style, with gilded cranes standing and in flight amongst a gilt foliate landscape, all on a black ground. Most probably made in Turin during the first half of the 19th century.
