JANSEN: A set of four giltwood fauteuils

A superb set of FOUR French late 19th century carved giltwood fauteuils by Jansen.

In the Louis XVI style, in the manner of George Jacob, each show-frame carved with great detail throughout with overlapping discs, acanthus and paterae, with cartouche shaped back, rounded seat frame, and standing on elegant stop-fluted tapering circualr legs. The back, seat and armrests upholstered.

The underside of each fauteuil bearing the inkstamp: 'JANSEN, PARIS'. 

The carved detail of exceptional quality and crispness.
