An exceptional pair of mid 18th century George II Chippendale period mahogany serpentine commodes of very rare small scale. Of beautifully figured mahogany throughout with great colour and patina. The serpentine shaped tops above three graduated drawers, raised on cabriole legs carved with blind fret, C- scrolls and a beaded detailing, on brass castors. Retaining their magnificent original fire gilded Rococo handles.

In wonderful original condition.
