A superb early 18th century large Japanese porcelain charger, decorated in the typical Imari palette of iron reds and blues with gilded hightlights on a white background. Beautifully painted throughout, the central panel depicting a magnificent Imari porcelain vase filled with flowers and foliage, placed on a trefoil shaped table on cabriole legs, itself of a wooden terrace with red trellis, around the edge further fielded panels with floral decoration and baskets of flowers.
