A PAIR OF IMARI SLEEVE LAMPS

A very fine and rare pair of early 18th century Japanese Imari cylindrical sleeve vases, decorated in the typical Imari palette of tones of blues and iron reds with gilded highlights on a predominantly white background, the main panels with superb flowering plants and foliage, butterflies and phoenix birds, now mounted as lamps with hand gilded turned bases.

Height of vases:   13 2/3 in (34.5  cm) including giltwood bases, excluding electrical fitments and lampshades.

All of our lamps can be wired for use worldwide, A selection of card, linen or silk lampshades can be supplied on request.
