A magnificent early 18th century Japanese Imari porcelain charger. Of very large scale and beautifully decorated throughout in the typical Imari palette of blues and iron reds with gilded highlights on a white background. The central panel depicting a fabulous Imari porcelain vase of flowers standing on garden deck with a simple fence behind, the central panel profusely bordered with stylised foliage and flowers including gilded chrysanthemums. The reverse sparsely decorated.
