A magnificent early 18th century Japanese Imari porcelain charger. Of very large scale and beautifully decorated throughout in the typical Imari palette of blues and iron reds with gilded highlights on a white background. The central panel depicting a fabulous Imari porcelain vase of flowers standing on garden deck with trelliswork fence behind, the central panel profusely bordered with stylised foliage and flowers including gilded chrysanthemums. The reverse sparsely decorated.
