A superb 18th century Japanese Imari octagonal vase, decorated in the typical Imari palette of blues and iron reds with gilt highlights on a white background, the panels beautifully painted with vases of exotic flowers and foliage. Now mounted as a lamp with hand gilded turned base.
Height of vase: 15 in (38 cm) including giltwood base, excluding electrical fitment and lampshades.
