A superb large early 18th century Japanese Imari baluster vase, decorated with floral and foliate garden scenes in the typical Imari palette of iron reds and blues with gold highlights on a white background. Now mounted as a lamp with hand gilded turned base.
Height of vase: 20 1/2 in ( 52 cm) including gilded base, excluding electrical fitments and lampshade.
