An exceptional Regency period rosewood and brass inlaid centre table in the neo-classical taste. The rosewood veneered top beautifully figured throughout and of a superb colour with brass-inlaid stringing around the circumference, the frieze of the top and the rosewood tri-form base also gilt-mounted, the rosewood base with further brass inlay and again of very fine colour, the whole standing on exceptional ormolu winged and acanthus scrolled feet with castors. In the manner of Thomas Hope.
